Designed around specific fabrics from a recent haul, and an attempt at mocking up a rather unusual cincher.
Black-to-gray ombre velvet off-the-shoulder dress with attached red chiffon hood and hanging sleeves; side-lacing red cotton brocade cincher.

Cincher build success!
Very little reduction; despite significant boning it's more decorative, though it's very supportive! Both lacings are functional.
75% done
Detached sleeves & body of dress complete; need to add hood, hanging sleeves, and embellishments
