1806ish Regency Gown

(May 2017)

Patterned as a mix between two Janet Arnold gowns. I'd been watching Pride and Prejudice a bit too often and decided to have a go at the ensemble. This was my first attempt at a historical boned undergarment - and overall a very fast project.

Trained gown of dark green acetate taffeta with a gathered drawstring waist and back with the bodice lined in green satin; "mini" chemise of cotton lawn; steel-boned cotton twill stays with a handmade plastic busk.

Now in the care of the UNC Jane Austen Summer Program!

Sold July 2017
